We started as a small group of friends who all had a professional background in medical and emergency services. We had a deep desire to give back to our communities and help make them more prepared during tough times. We quickly realized there was a need, a gap so to speak, in the professional manpower needed during emergencies and disasters. In 2023 we came together to form the Prepared Homestead Emergency Response Team and began training together as a team. We recertified our credentails and learned new skills. We spent hours together practicing search and rescue drills in the local forest, giving high quality basic life-saving skills together as a team, developing better ways to support local fire and emergency services and acquiring the gear and equipment needed to serve our communities. In 2024 we became an auxiliary support team to our local fire department and many of us became full volunteers of the department. We also have become a nationally registered Community Emergency Response Team in our county.
We pride ourselves on being the Swiss Army Knife of Emergency and Disaster Services. Due to the diversity of knowledge and experience within our Team we are able to assist and lead in many situations and are constantly setting new goals and new skill levels. We pride ourselves on being the Swiss Army Knife of Emergency and Disaster Services. Due to the diversity of knowledge and experience within our Team we are able to assist and lead in many situations and are constantly setting new goals and new skill levels. Our team members backgrounds are varied but many have Emergency Services training. We have several EMT’s, Nurses, a former EMS director, former law enforcement, firefighters, disaster response team members, educators, veterans and many others. Because of this, some of the areas we focus on are Search and Rescue, Medical Response, Natural Disasters, Preparedness and Mitigation of Emergencies, Rescue, Fire Rehabilitation, Traffic Control Assistance, Weather Preparedness and Disasters, Community First Aid, Wildland and Structure Fire Support, Manning Storm Shelters, and Community Education.
In 2024 we deployed on over 30 calls for service. During those calls we assisted local, state and federal departments and agencies while better serving the community around us. Our vision is to continue and improve these services to our community as we move forward. Our goals are not to simply provide emergency services to our area but to
